Help Us in the Event of a Fire! 🔥😱

Hello Hero Tails Family! 🐕

We hope you’re doing well, and managing to stay cool in this heat. 🥵

As fire season is once again upon us (and given how the past few years have gone), we want to make sure we’re taking every precaution and making every preparation we can to ensure the safety of every single rescue doggo here at the Hero Tails Animal Sanctuary.

Did you know we currently have over 20 rescue dogs in our care?  From puppies to seniors, small to large…we’ve got ’em all.

As you can imagine, this many rescue dogs would make a fire emergency near the Sanctuary an extra-scary event.  It’s hard enough to imagine evacuating our families, let alone almost two-dozen dogs on top of that!

(Even as we write this, there are flames plainly visible just a couple miles from our Sanctuary, as you can see in the terrifying picture above.)

We feel an immense gratitude that we were able to save each of the precious souls at our rescue, and want to make sure they remain safe in the event of a local fire.

To do that, we’ve got our eye on a trailer that we could quickly load all of our dogs in, and immediately hit the road to find safety.

As you can probably guess, a trailer that size is not cheap.  Thankfully, we’ve found one that’s in good condition, and at $3,000, with your support it may just be affordable.  We pray we’d never have to use it, but you know the old saying…

“It’s better to have and not need, than to need and not have.”

We feel this trailer is an absolute necessity for our rescue, given the high risk of fire in our area.
